The Elite Hands is a 4-week program specifically designed to improve your stickhandling skill, balance, and coordination. Each week you move onto a new set of daily drills. You will repeat each day twice per week. Each week is broken down into the following days:
QUICK HANDS day is designed to speed up your hands with drills utilized to challenge different stickhandling positions. You want to perform the drill as clean, in control, and as crisp as possible. Only increase speed if it does not negatively impact your technique and quality of stickhandling.
ULTIMATE CONTROL day is designed to create greater control and awareness of touch with different stickhandling position drills. You want to perform the drill as clean, in control, and as crisp as possible. Only increase speed if it does not negatively impact your technique and quality of stickhandling.
ULTIMATE BALANCE day of the program is designed to improve two things at once, stabilization and stickhandling. Being able to stickhandle and stabilize your balance are two skills that go hand and hand in hockey, this training day place emphasis on these skills.
The REACTIVE day is designed to help the player adapt and react to different drills using a tennis ball and or golf ball using different challenging positions. Your spacial awareness (proprioception) will be enhanced through the different drill progressions each month.
